Job Description

The qualified candidate for Account Manager will have long-term career goals within meeting and event management with the intent of maintaining and growing business, as well as, managing an account team as it pertains to assigned accounts. They will be equipped with the experience, as well as motivated, to consult strategically with clients to promote Unbridled services, develop business within the client account, and expand Unbridled’s exposure to other new business. They should be extremely self-motivated, driven, committed, and a dedicated team player. This position will focus on pharmaceutical clients and must understand the lifecycle of commercial meetings, HCP/customer engagement meetings, and congresses.

Successful candidates will have the following:

  • 7+ years meeting or event planning experience to include:
    • Hotel contract negotiation
    • Hotel sourcing through Cvent
    • Menu and décor planning
    • Meeting space management
    • Budget creation and management
    • Cost savings tracking
    • EOY Reporting
    • Vendor management
    • Attendee registration
    • Rooming list management
    • Transportation/manifest management
    • On-site operation including staff management
    • Event creative design, content, production services, and video production
    • Consult clients on strategic meeting management
    • Understand HCP reporting and reimbursements
    • Familiar with the lifecycle to drug development
    • Familiar with the quarterly cadence of pharmaceutical meetings
    • Know the acronyms and terms used in pharmaceutical companies
    • Managed high-volume accounts with a combination of long and short lead times
  • Excellent computer skills – Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, Sharepoint, Outlook, Database Management
  • Experience working within Cvent
  • Effective, professional business communication skills, - written, presentation, client contact
  • Ability to manage a team of employees and oversee teams on larger or more complex client-specific projects
  • Travel savvy - ability to travel 1-2 weeks per month (on average, actual travel varies based on client requirements)

Preferred but not required:

  • Industry Affiliations – MPI, PCMA, SITE, others
  • International meeting planning or travel experience

What you would be doing at Unbridled:

  • Develop and maintain strategic client relationships
  • Ensure the health of client accounts
  • Develop account standards and processes
  • Maintain and grow account business and actively participate in the renewal process
  • Ensure quality performance of project teams assigned to specific projects
  • Communication with clients at all levels of organizations, written and conversational
  • Financial responsibilities:
    • Ensure budget accuracy and integrity
    • Create program budgets
    • Participate in program reconciliation
    • Ensure comprehensive understanding of client financial objectives year over year
    • Develop and maintain and responsible for fiscal forecast for each account assigned
    • Understand MSAs and SOWs
  • Oversee online registration process and website development
  • Ensure program resume is created and accurate
  • On-site staffing management, maintaining standards of service and image
  • End-of-year reporting to include summary of meetings booked, destinations, number of attendees, cost per program by deliverable, cost savings, etc
